Matte Wood Grain

Clean the film regularly with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals that can damage the film or leave scratches. Wipe off any spills or stains as soon as possible to prevent them from setting in.

Protect the film from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Exposure to these elements can cause the film to fade, warp, or peel over time. Use curtains, blinds, or shades to block out excessive sunlight, and keep the film away from sources of heat such as radiators, fireplaces, or stoves. Also, avoid placing hot or wet items directly on the film, as they can leave marks or cause the film to bubble.

Apply a protective coating every few months to enhance the film's resistance to wear and tear. You can use a commercial product designed for matte wood grain film, or make your own by mixing one part white vinegar and two parts water. Spray the solution onto the film and wipe it off with a clean cloth. This will help to remove any dirt, dust, or fingerprints, and create a thin layer of protection that will make the film more resistant to scratches and stains.

Repair any minor damages as soon as you notice them. If you see any small tears, holes, or bubbles on the film, you can fix them with some simple tools and materials. For tears and holes, you will need a piece of matching film, scissors, a hairdryer, and some adhesive. Cut out a patch that is slightly larger than the damaged area, and apply some adhesive on the back of it. Place the patch over the tear or hole, and use the hairdryer to heat it up until it adheres firmly. Smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles with your fingers or a credit card. For bubbles, you will need a needle, a syringe, and some adhesive. Pierce the bubble with the needle, and inject some adhesive into it with the syringe. Press down on the bubble until it flattens out, and wipe off any excess adhesive with a cloth.
