What are the types of plasticizers

Plasticizer, also known as plasticizer, is a kind of polymer material additives. It is a colorless and odorless liquid. It is mainly used as plastic processing additives and is widely used in industry.

Regarding the types of plasticizers that we are puzzled by, there are many types of plasticizers and different classification methods, mainly as follows:

1. According to the chemical structure, it is divided into benzene (terephthalate) dicarboxylates, aliphatic dibasic acid esters, phosphate esters, epoxy esters, benzene polyacid esters, amides, etc.

2. According to its molecular weight, it is divided into monomer type and polymer type. Most plasticizers are monomeric, such as dioctyl phthalate; polymerized, such as polyesters obtained by polycondensation of dibasic acid and dibasic fermentation.

3. According to the solubility, it can be divided into solvent type and non-solvent type.

4. According to its sanitary indicators, it can be divided into three types: with, low and without.

5. According to the compatibility, it can be divided into main plasticizer, auxiliary plasticizer and extender. The main plasticizer has good compatibility with the polymer and can be used alone; the auxiliary plasticizer has poor compatibility with the polymer and generally cannot be used alone. It is often mixed with the main plasticizer; extender and high Polymer compatibility is very poor, mainly used to reduce costs or change performance.

6. According to its physical state, it is divided into liquid plasticizer and solid plasticizer.

7. The application performance can be divided into plasticizers such as cold resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance, flame resistance, mildew resistance and antistatic properties.
