Overview of rubber plasticizers

Nowadays, plasticizers are indispensable for the production of plastic or rubber products. Over time, people will call the plasticizers used in plastics or rubber as plastic plasticizers or rubber plasticizers.　　

Rubber plasticizer is a kind of reagent. The plasticization of rubber refers to the addition of certain substances to the rubber, which can reduce the force between the rubber molecules, thereby reducing the glass transition temperature of the rubber, making the rubber plastic and fluid, and facilitating molding operations such as calendering and extruding. It can improve certain physical and mechanical properties of vulcanizates, such as reducing hardness and tensile stress, imparting higher elasticity and lower heat generation, and improving cold resistance.

An ideal rubber plasticizer should have the following conditions:

① Good compatibility with rubber and other raw materials;

②No adverse effects on the physical properties of products such as vulcanizates or thermoplastic elastomers;

③Small volatility during oil filling and processing;

④It should have good emulsifying properties in the production of oil-extended rubber synthesized by emulsion polymerization process;

⑤In the process of raw rubber mixing, it should have good processability, operability and lubricity;

⑥Environmental protection, no pollution;

⑦Good light and thermal stability;

⑧ The quality is stable, the source is sufficient, and the price is moderate. Of course, there is no perfect rubber plasticizer.
